Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme/event hosted by The Broke and the Bookish wherein, each week, a new topic is announced and bloggers participate in that and put up their own lists. Today’s topic is “Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases For The Second Half Of The Year”
There are loads of new releases in the later half of the year which I want to get. Some are sequels, which I’m dying for but most of them are a start of new series – or new standalones.
[Note : I haven’t provided summaries of any books because I like to go into a book without knowing anything except for its genres. However, I have provided the Goodreads link for each book if you’re interested in finding out more about the book!]
P.S. I Like You by Kasie West
Kasie West is my go-to author whenever I’m in need of fluff, cheesy romance, or just a fun, light time. Though her books fail to have a meaningful impact on me, they almost certainly give a good reading experience. They’re fun, light, easy to fly through and so effin’ cute! So of course I have to read her new book. Plus, the plot of the book is unlike anything I’ve heard before, so why not?
To be released : July 26th, 2016
Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi
I absolutely loved the Shatter Me trilogy by Tahereh Mafi – it’s one of my favorite trilogies of all time. Though I’m kinda wary about this book being a standalone MG fantasy novel, I’m still excited to read anything Mafi pens down.
To be released : 30th August, 2016
It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover
Colleen Hoover is my queen and her books are my guilty pleasure. Period. No amount of crap (hi, Too Late) she writes can convince me to skip/miss any new book she writes. I absolutely need this in my life. Like, NOW.
To be released : 2nd August, 2016
Empire of Storms by Sarah J Maas
If you still don’t know that I am in love with SJM, then you need to know me better. Legit. Well, Throne of Glass is stellar, and one of my favortie fantasy series, so of course I want to read its fifth instalment. But, I don’t think I’m going to read it this year, mainly because I want to reread the first four books before I move on to this one, and by the time this book releases, I’ll be too far into board preps to read the whole series from start. So, I’ll probably be reading this in April 2017 (after my boards).
To be released : 6th September, 2016
Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
I haven’t read Laini Taylor’s other series, but I still want to get to this one because it sounds good, and I’ve heard a lot about the author. It just seems to be one of those magical, beautiful books and I really want to read it!
To be released : 27th September, 2016
Stealing Snow by Danielle Paige
I haven’t read Dorothy Must Die trilogy by Danielle Paige – but I’m yet excited for the book. I’m not that excited for it being a Danielle Paige book – as I am about it being a Snow White retelling. It sounds good, and I need to read a nice retelling book!
To be released : 20th September, 2016
Replica by Lauren Oliver
I loved Delirium trilogy, and this book sounds super interesting. Not the summary, but the way it’s written. From two character POVs, and whichever POV you read from, you’ll get a different story. (At least, that’s what I’ve heard). Anyway, cannot wait!!
To be released : 4th October, 2016
A Million Worlds With You by Claudia Gray
I read books 1 and 2 in the Firebird trilogy in a daze – they were so good. Based on a concept I’ve never read before, and thrilling, fast-paced books with endless twists and amazing side-romance. So, of course, I have to read the third and final isntallment in this amazing trilogy.
To be released : 1st November, 2016
The Sun is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon
I have never read anything by Nicola Yoon (in my defence, I ordered Everything, Everything two days ago) and I’m super excited to pick up her work. I’ve heard exemplary things about her debut novel (which once I receive, I’ll immediately start reading) and this one too sounds good! Plus, this year I’m mostly concentrating on reading standalone novels (because series require time and 12th boards doesn’t really give you much time) and I’m just basically in dire need for some good contemporaries.
To be released : 1st November, 2016
Heartless by Marissa Meyer
The Lunar Chronicles was amazing (I admit I haven’t read Winter, but am slowly making my way through the series again) and when the author of an amzing series writes a new book? You read it. So of course I have to read the book!!
To be released : 8th November, 2016
So that was my list of anticipated book!
I’m fond of books that was always released a year or two before. But then among your Top Ten, I must say that Meyer title is one to look out for… and I might check out that P.S. I Like You. I love a little cliche, cheesy romance meself….

I share similar thoughts for Strange the Dreamer! I was never really enthused to start DOSAB but the simplicity and directness of the blurb for Strange calls to me haha.
Cheers,

Replica sounds so interesting! I’m also intrigued by how the story is told, so here’s hoping it lives up to expectations. I’m kind of ambivalent about Delirium (OK, I didn’t like it), but I loved Before I Fall. :P
Here’s my TTT.
